Delphi Valley
The Delphi Valley is a special place that inspires everyone
who comes here. Situated between
Ireland's wild Atlantic
coast and Clew Bay,
Delphi is remote and postcard-perfect with its unique
geographical and glacial history. With the tallest mountains
in
Connemara - the
majestic Mweelrea Mountain
range - as a backdrop, there's nowhere better to
get away from it all.
Killary Harbour
Killary Harbour is Ireland's only "fjord". It is
disputed that it was actually formed by glaciers. It forms
the border between parts of counties Galway and Mayo.
It's
16 kilometers long and in the center it's over 45 meters
deep.
On its Northern shore lies the mountain of Mweelrea, 817
meters high.
Maam Valley
Maam Vaaley with its splendid scenery. One of the location
for the making of the Quiet Man film in 1953.
